The Terror Cottas is a theatre collective dedicated to producing the work of experimental playwrights. 2024 will be their inaugural season.
The Terror Cottas evolved from something called The P.A.N.T.S., which produced Wendy A. Schmidt’s one-woman, six-character play Maker of Worlds in September 2019 at Theater for the New City in New York, starring Amy Gorelow. But we couldn’t stomach saying, “A production of The Pants,” or “Produced by The Pants” any longer, so we changed the name. Currently we are one official playwright member, and a loose affiliation of performers who are going to try and make something together this year.
Coming to Chicago Summer 2024, Wendy A. Schmidt’s The Filigree Trilogy, a play about technology as the new colonialism.
